Background Information:-The Spring Carnival is all about charity. -International Day is about celebrating our Internationalism. -During the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000, 189 countries signed a declaration and adopted the eight goals to eradicate extreme poverty around the world by 2015. We are now in the 12th year to reach this targeted date.
How far have we gone to eradicate extreme poverty?
What work still needs to be done to achieve this target?
